Job description: Driver Hire Colchester is looking for experienced Class 2 drivers for immediate shifts with our reputable clients.Job Details:
- Locations: Colchester, Harwich, Sudbury, Earls Colne, and surrounding areas within the CO postcode.
- Pay Rates:
- Class 2: £14.50 per hour (minimum 10 hours per day for most clients).
- Higher rates for specific clients, weekend, and night shifts.
- Weekly pay, PAYE, and pension contributions.
- Pay rate includes holiday pay at 12.07%, with an option to accrue holiday available.
Requirements:
- Commercial Experience: Must have proven experience driving commercially in a Class 2 capacity.
- Full and valid Category C (Class 2) license.
- Up-to-date CPC and Digi tacho cards.
- Maximum of 6 points on your license (no DR, DD, or IN convictions).
- Ability to load and unload safely.
- Adherence to highway code regulations.
- Strong communication skills.
- Own transport: Essential due to early start times and varied client locations.
Job Role:
- Work with a range of clients, including pallet networks and general haulage companies.
- Flexible schedules, primarily Monday to Friday, with some night and weekend shifts.
- Guaranteed minimum of 8-10 hours per shift (client-dependent).
